Wonders couldn't be obsolete by new advance?

i have been read Great library carefully, and i figure out wonders couldn't be obsolete by new advance in CTP2. Is it right? If it does, Wonders have much value to build at any cost through all ages.

If i missed out from Great library, tell me the point, please.
