  • Sorry if this has been covered before

I made a mistake in wartime of conquering too many cities, and I now have 52 under my control, whereas my recommended maximum is 45.

I need to stop fighting because it is making my citizens very unhappy, and I am also feeling very vulnerable because I am mobilising all my garrisoned units to help the war effort; so I decided to use recently captured cities as a bargaining tool in getting cease-fires signed.

However, the list of cities appears to be in chronological order, and the cities I wish to surrender, my most recent acquisitions, do not appear on the list. I have tried to scroll down, Page Down etc etc, but nothing seems to work.

    All help appreciated

The only thing I can think of is RENAMING your city that you will remeber or like ROME1 with the number so you know when it was captured orr WRIGHTING it on a piece of paper and then looking for it.

    Hope this helps.

The problem is not remembering the name, it is being able to offer the city over.

It does not appear on the list that comes up, so I can't offer it.

well Davor did hit on something...

Try renaming the cities you want to trade "A", "A1", "A2" etc. etc. and then you can trade them off.

There is a definite problem with that sort of thing which has been discussed in detail lately.

Yes, this would work if it were in alphabetical order, but the list is in chronological order. Almost all the cities on the list are my own created ones, or if not, then are central to my empire.

The new ones I have conquered, after years of bombing and missile bombardment, are small, insignificant and mostly long distances from my empire, and in the middle of enemy territory, so getting rid of them is an advantage anyway, until I can build up a stronger military to hold onto them.

I can't disband them because they are too large; I have toyed with the idea of starving them to death until they reach size 3, but they are too valuable a bargaining tool for me to do that.
