Patching problem !!! plz help !

I installed US-english version of CTP2
on my win98 french version
(french/canadian installation:Keyboard QWERTY...).

CTP2 works fine i nerver had problem of game crashing
or anything else.

But now i tried to install the patch and
i can't because the patch program give me
this message:
"The language of your OS not allow you to use this patch!"

I tried to patch in english and french with
the same result !

Cmon Activision let me patch the game !!!

I always buy the english version of games
to be compatible with the mods etc...
and this is the first time that i can't
install a patch.

Any help ?
(I don't have an english win98 around)

no I am not going to explain it another time. Search through the other threads that deal with this topic. One named "Proud to announce first Bug..." and the other is the official announcment thread for 1.1. You MAY find a solution there.
