Celebrations
When are they triggered and what are their effects? Also, what is the effect of happiness in the game? Does it increase production as it goes up or just triggers riots, revolts and celebrations at certain points?

celebrations are triggered when the happiness indicator turns green usually around 85 or so. i guess it probably depends on your government though. i'm not sure what the exact effects are but i assume as it indicates in the readme that it has some influence on your production, income and growth factors. riots i believe are triggered at 72, it shows in your national summary when a city is in danger of rioting. i have no idea when a revolt is triggered. .i've never gotten it below 72 ever really. -
I too had a celebration in one of my cities once. What were the effects? I have absolutely no idea. All I ever saw was a message....
Anyone know what these do?
I searched the printed manual and the GL for details but I found nothing. Hmmm....
