there has been a lot of talks about Hotseat game, canal, diplomacy, stacking with AI etc. But I think the key to a good civ game is the AI, so what if we've got tons of diplomacy options if the AIs are as stupid as they'were in CTP1? I've heard from some online review that the AIs behaves just about the same as they did in Ctp1.

Well the AI will probably be better simply by having the files proof-read:
Here is a sample from one of the original files:
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
////////// WHAT IS MY RANKING? ///////////
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
input my_normalized_rank
tri iam_in_last_place(his_normalized_rank, 0.0, 0.05)
tri iam_in_bottom_half(his_normalized_rank, 0.3, 0.25)
tri iam_in_middle_half(his_normalized_rank, 0.5, 0.25)
tri iam_in_top_half(his_normalized_rank, 0.7, 0.25)
tri iam_in_first_place(his_normalized_rank, 1.0, 0.05)
Cute isn't it
I've also proof-read the AI files in the MedMod.
It's not rocket science... I think one should only expect an AI to be as good as the designer. It is entirely possible that the designers of CTP *start whisper voice here* where not very good CTP players and so did not realize that it was at least as bright as a polished rock *normal voice again*.
However the AI files in CTP are flexible enough that the really good players can set the numbers to something more challenging... and I am sure that will happen.
Oh, I can hear it already... people bleating out that Activision should be doing this... I'm sure they will try. I also expect that the many fans out here will make it better no matter how good or bad it is.
