Good one. Do they act as part of the ranged attack units, or do they just add to the defense factor of the city like walls do?

Ballista Towers give an offensive bonus against land-based attackers.

Aaah, thanks again Neblig. Is that an offensive bonus to all units, or does the ballista itself have a ranged attack?

Is there any form of cannon (or whatever) that gives bonuses to sea-based attacks as well? (I'm guessing not seeing as we haven't heard about it, but it's worth asking.)
