Now then, should we ask for CtP2 news item too?
As a matter of fact CtP2 cost the same 4.95$ for 3 days like Civ III. Rather expensive compared to selling prices.
For those that want to have a look at the original manual (those who didn't get it with the box) - it's available for free on that Yahoo site. The only difference between it and the one in the directory here I can see is lots of little pictures and a crappy resolution for the Yahoo one though.

In some parts of the world, playing it for 3 days is actually more expensive than actually buying the game. And the d/l is only 180 MB, which means no music, no video

Anyway, your wish is my command: news item copied. I haven't had a good opportunity to write CtP2 news items in a while because of some personal issues (I'm having some difficulties focussing on... well, pretty much anything). This one's easy though as I don't actually need to write anything for this myself

Thanks for the heads-up, especially on that manual, will probably add that to the downloads section soon Too bad it didn't include the reference chart...

I'm laughing like crazy here - didn't think you'd actually post it!
Anyway - the 180MB is just the initial download to play the game - but for playing you always have to be connected to yahoo's service and it'll download whatever is necessary while you're playing. By the way the civ III download is only 100MB - that game doesn't offer as much as CtP2...

Renting games never works, like they tried to rent games from Blockbuster but no one ever payed, at least no one i know did. It should be that if you rent it for long enough you get a copy anyway. But then why not just buy the game or play the demo. Although some dont have demos.

I wouldnt pay any amount of money to rent a game anyway, just buy it and exchange it if you dont like it.

It seems pretty silly, to spend $4.95 for 3 days of use with an inferior version of CTP2, when you can buy the "full version" of the game for $9.99
