  • A question for Yin26 or anyone else.

I like reading your posts Yin26. Quite humurous and quite right most of the time.

Did you play CtP2 with the Apolyton pack? I just tried it and its quite challenging.

I know of all the Civ3 players putting down CtP2 but with all the Civ3 mods out there did you try CtP2 modded?

I miss my spy units and the other stealth uniths like Clerics, Spies and Slavers, so that is why I tried it again.

So Yin26 I know how much you loved Civ3, so how did you like CtP2 modded? Just wanting to know.

I like Civ3 but it is missing the stealth units to make the game more intgiging. They should have kept the spies and got rid of the workers but that is my opnion.

How did you guys like CtP2 modded compared to Civ3?

Hey, can I hire you as my press agent? LOL! Naw, I wouldn't want you to suffer.

When CtP came out, I started a kind of boycott/complaint thread against Activision. And when CtP2 was announced, I asked: "How many of you guys will be stupid enough to waste your money THIS time, too?" Well, many were. Anyway, I had promised to do a review and borrowed a copy (refusing to pay for it, as with Civ3).

Problem was: I played a relatively unmodded version, hated it, and never went back. I know some great things have been done in the mod scene since. I'm just not qualified to say.

But if you tell me it's better than Civ3, I suppose you already know I wouldn't be surprised.

The Apolyton pack is 6 months out of date: that's a LONG time in CTP2 terms. It really needs updating with the more recent SLIC code that people have been (and are still ) working on.

Go for Hex's Cradle instead, he's kept it much more up to date.

Hey Yin, have you ever gotten a meal at a restaraunt that you actually LIKED? And were satisfied with? Without having a lengthy discourse all the way home as to why it was inferior and all the other customers were suckers for continuing to patronize the place?
I'm not trying to be mean, I just wanna know...

Hey, the computer gaming industry for the most part is a labotomy on crack.
