IPX or TCP/IP

Which is better? whats the diff?

For some reason i cant join the lobby when im using TCP/IP, does anyone know the reason?

I think that IPX may be a bit dodgy cause in my mp game it keeps exiting (see other string)

If anyone knows anything about this, their advice would be enormously appreciated
