  • Const.txt Question

Does anyone know what the following lines in the Const.txt file mean???

    SCALED_POP_ANCIENT 10000
    SCALED_POP_RENAISSANCE 10000
    SCALED_POP_MODERN 100000
    SCALED_POP_GENETIC 1000000
    SCALED_POP_DIAMOND 5000000

I'm wondering if this is supposed to have something to do with the score... but apparently is ignored by the program. Doh!

P.S. Is it just me, or does anyone else dislike the city-sprites in the diamond age? The Genetic age sprites were much cooler.

    Hi Skeeve,

    theese lines

    " SCALED_POP_ANCIENT 10000
    SCALED_POP_RENAISSANCE 10000
    SCALED_POP_MODERN 100000
    SCALED_POP_GENETIC 1000000
    SCALED_POP_DIAMOND 5000000 "

were use by CivCTP. CTP2 bases on CivCTP in the game were a bunch of CivCTP files not used by CTP2. And also some parts of files are not used by the game above there is an example.
In CivCTP an ancient city on level one has a population of 10000 on level two 20000 and so on. A renaissance city on level one has also a population of 10000. A modern city a population of 100000 on level one, a genetic city has an population of 1000000 and finally a diamond city an population of 5000000 on level one. In CTP2 every city as an population of 10000 on level one.
I do not know if this pop scaled feature can be implemented by using the correct CTP2 internal age names. I never tried it. The correct CTP2 internal age name for the ancient age is age_one, for renaissance age_two and so on. The internal age names can be found in age.txt.

      Thanks, that explains it.

I never bought CivCTP because of the low reviews so I didn't recognize the pattern.

      Thanks again.
