Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Maybe you should change the question to include hotseat. There are people who play hotseat but not PBEM and I seem to remember that Activision said that PBEM/hotseat share most of the same code, so they would probably add both anyway.
Anyway, I definately want PBEM. It doesn't matter to me if a game does take over a year; I'm currently involved in some CTP1 games that have been running over a year and I'm still enjoying them.

I took a look at the results now. With more than 100 votes 33% wanting PBEM, I think it is a reason to considers a patch for Activision.
PLLLEEEAAASSSSEEEEEE!!! Give us back our PBEM!!! This game is frustratingly close to being a great game but there is a very annoying catch-22 problem here.
The AI sucks (I don't think many people here will disagree) yet Multiplayer is virtually useless because any game you start eventually craps out on you. So you have these great new diplomacy options but you have to deal with a lobotomized opponent that won't deal with you unless you threaten it with instant destruction???!!!
Against a human opponent that actually has half a brain this is a potentially great game, it's so sad that in their rush to have CTPII on Xmas shopping lists for the 2000 season we essentially only have two mismatched portions of what could be have been an awesome whole.
You play your turn and when you hit the END button the turn is automatically saved on your desktop and the game exits. Then you attach the saved turn to your email client program and send it to the next player. That is the way PBEM works in CTP1 and that will probably be the way in CTP2 if ever supported (I hope so).
Accually when you hit the END button a window appears where you can click on the Quit button.
After that you have to send the turn manually by attaching the saved turn on the desktop.
Yes this is a very slow way to play CTP.
You lose in speed but you gain in diplomacy, careful strategy and fun through postings in the forum.
Mark,
I urge you to close the poll as know it has been proven that both PBEM and HotSeat are in the game, and just 1 file has to modified in order to play those.

Yes. they are there, but the game doesn't work like it's supposed to. e.g human-human diplomacy doesn't work.
