  • OFFICIAL: PW Setting for 17th Turn Chat

Well we should build more tile improvements. But unfortunatly we don't have enough PW for it, so I ask you again.

Vote for 0% PW Tax Rate if you think we should not raise our PW Tax in the next tuns.
Vote for 10% PW Tax Rate if you thing we should raise our PW setting to 10% permernently.
Vote for 20% PW Tax Rate if you thing we should raise our PW setting to 20% permernently.
Vote for 30% PW Tax Rate if you thing we should raise our PW setting to 30% permernently.
Vote for 40% PW Tax Rate if you thing we should raise our PW setting to 40% permernently.
Vote for 80% PW Tax rate for 1 turn if you think we should raise our PW Tax rate to 80% for one turns.
Vote for 80% PW Tax rate for 2 turns if you think we should raise our PW Tax rate to 80% for two turns.
Vote Abstain if you have no idea for what to vote.

This poll is open for three days. And is closed on 26-03-2003 23:05 GMT.
Well this is after the start of the 17th Turn Chat so only the result at the start is considered not later.

Well, I am shure he still needs some PW to complete his plan, I like also to see some more roads to reduce the distance to Wombatoon, Linz and Maquidad. Well Wombatoon is cheap should be 180PW, to Linz there are some hills and to Maquidad we have a lot of hills, so the most expensive part is the road to Maquidad and I think that needs more than 2000 PW, epecially if you want to construct some farms and trading posts. My estimation of two turns 80% PW tax is a gain of something like 1650 PW.

I think we should set the PW at 80% for two turns, it would delay the production of units for two turns but would allow us to move units in our empire far more quickly thus making up for the delayed production.

Obviously a road network is desirable, but my "plans" are continuous, and require as many PW as can be spared. If I had my way, we'd have 80% PW all the time... But as this is clearly impractical, I will settle for two more turns of 80%, or a base rate of 20% continuously.

I go for what he MoI says (actually i voted only 1 turn). As MoD I dont mind use some Production from our units to roads and growth. At this point of the game unless the germans attack us we have a good defense. Roads will only improve this defense.

                I voted abstain:

It really depends on the situation:
If we have enough peace-keeping troups to stop the riots in the Austrian area, our misleaded brothers and sisters, and the German want attack us, we could set it to ~80%, but if we still miss units to do this job, we can't really sacrify so much work, we would need to lower it to like 20-30%.

i believe its rather clear, these setting only will be applied, if "all goes well". urgent demands for troops would be met.
