Note: I abstain every MoD poll.

    Movement Plan

TURN 1 - Move Warrior in mapfipolis South an call it 'Goodsight'. Move 1 Hoplite from mapfipolis to Cl. Move 2 Hoplites form CL to Pedrunnia. If mo enemy sighted in those moves, move 2 holites from Pedrunnia to Graz along the river. Stand still the Lemuforce only move the wounded hoplites H Town.

TURN 2 - Move Goodsight SW. Continue moving unit as said in the first turn. Stand still Lemuforce. The units must have arrived in their cities except for the stack to Graz.

TURN 3 - Move goodsight south. Move Lemuforce NW if no enemy threat was sighted near Graz otherwise if a threat that cant be handle by its defenses send the Lemuforce to destroy this threat. After moved NW add units from H Town to Lemuforce to create a size 8 army (4H and 4A). Than move NW agin along the river.

TURN 4-5 - Goodsight now is controlled by the people in the chat who will tell them where to go since i can predict his next steps.
The other two hopltes from Pedrunnia shall arrive this turn in Graz (By this time the Graz defense is (4H/4A). The Lemuforce is heading Wels. Any other needed move due the next events will be decided in the chat. We may consider add some units from Pressburg in the stack but i do not think it will be necessary.

TURN 6 - Wels attack. After conquered we need to decide what to do with wels in order to make a decision here.

I think we have too many units in the east. Move some hoplites and warriors from CL and mp to the west, so we get free offensive armies to further attack the Austrians. We shouldn't stop the war till we have all easy reachable cities.

I want at least Wels conquered before we can settle our armies!

We should advance till an imaginary line between Wien and Pilsen (s of Wien) taking whatever town lies on that road (including those two cities and Wels). They are all rather easy accesible by rivers, a great advantage for us. The war shouldn't stop until we have those cities because not before then the Austrians won't pose any threat anymore.

I'd like to just inject a 'pause' here as Domestic Affairs minister. The war IS going well. Our security is being strengthened by our conquest, as our production and science is strengthened in new and powerful ways.

We have a problem, with expansion... we are beginning to expand beyond our ability to control happiness.

            We have to think about:

            Slider settings
Distance penalities (when a unit would take more than 6 turns to travel to the capital from that city, we will start to see actual penalties.)
            War Discontent
            Pollution Unhappiness
Conquest Distress (Temporary, but a problem when coupled with above)

We have a few solutions to solve happiness, but they cost us in return (Sliders and Entertainers.) We could build Happiness Improvements... but they are not instant, and are difficult to prioritized in the border towns we will have the happiness issues in.

The best fix we can consider at the moment, is the Ramajana. It gives every city +3 happiness, the equivalent of a Theatre plus a Shrine. It is instantly effective in new cities. It gives us some cushion to maintain aggressive expansion.

We are however in a race to build happiness improvements, and we need to ensure that we can finish what we start.

We don't have a lot of gold, or any ultra productive cities (at least some AI's will have productive cities, due to mine improvements.)

The only way we can guarantee a 'win' is with unit disbanding. The Ramajana doesn't expire, so this is a benefit for all time.

What I propose is to eventually use the 9 unit to do this, but not immediately. Here is the plan:

            1) Split 1 hoplite off to help even out Graz (The most injured)
            2) March and take Wels
            3) Disband Wels
            4) Escort the settler back to Pedrunnia

This will take 12 turns to get the units to Pedrunnia. We disband units IF WE NEED TO.

Meanwhile, in Graz, HTown, Colonia Locuta and Mapfipolis we build a mixture of defensive and offensive troops. We make a start on a new 12 stack, or maybe 2 if we need to disband a significant portion of the 8 stack to rush the Wonder.

We then escort the settler to the south western potato site (to the east of the potato, right outside our border, and right on the edge of the Austrian border.

This plan gets the best value from the stack we have now... using it to kill towns like Troppau is less valuable to us now than to get us to Ramajana, in a race.

I wouldn't go and kill towns either, I also wouldn't disband Wels, it's not too bad a spot and we don't have 10 cities yet. All I'm saying is that our goal should be that line Wien-Pilsen and not make any treaty with the Austrians before that. I'm aware though that our abilities won't let us do that very fast, maybe some ~30-40turns more? By that time we would also have the Ramajana (hopefully) and have happiness under control.

Wels is too unproductive and infertile to be a viable border town. We don't have resources to do anything about that yet.

If we disband the city, that doesn't mean that we won't use the settler to settle elsewhere. We merely delay the extra city, and put it in a much better spot.

I'd consider settling north of the Wels, when we have roads, provided the terrain improves... otherwise... why bother?

The Units in the east are fine where they are, they will help if the situation arises that we are attacked by the Germans? or the Thais? or a stack of Barbs.

Thoughs units in the east can remain there, think of it as a saftey net just in case.

We dont know what lurks out side our eastern fog o war vision and I dont want to take the risk in not having suffiently defended towns.

Let the Four cities in the West concetrate on the war, as for the East we need our armies to stay put.

Rather than worrying and staticly defending the best human strategy is to build a couple of warriors in the east AND west... and use them for early warning.

We have a group of cities that can assist each other in defence. We should use this to our advantage, to lessen absolute defence needs.

I agree with not stopping attacking the Austrians... although I do favor a slight pause.

There is no convincing arguement to seek peace with Austria. If they offer it prior to our taking Linz and Wien, we should counter with a land-for-peace demand. If they accept... fine.

I added a movement plan for the attack of Graz. And i started a new poll to discuss about the number of turn we need to wait before attacking Wels.
According to the plan I have made. I would go for 2 turns from now. I will consider what I see you guys have to say there.
                        Thats just an alpha plan.

BTW, the wels site is bad but it is the best site we can find in the North without entering German territory. I dont believe we should disband it specially if it has some building or some farms around it. And i must remind you that farms can be but in deserts. So Wels may have some good TIs in it.

Any commets on my plan? Or the number of turns to send the stack?

I will close the discussion tomorrow at the end of the morning. If no one changes my mind we will use the plan in the first post

IMO, all the cities to the exception to our eternal city of Pedrunnia should produce military units, the reinforcements should then be sent to the western front and our current units should be used to defend our eastern territory as we don't know what the future will be made of. H town defence is not strong enough, some of the first reinforcements should be sent here.

We should explore the south and contact India to exchange our maps.

Wels should not be disbanded as we need every town to support the war and increase the size of our glorious empire.

The war should be stopped as soon as we have conquered the cities that would allow us to defend easily our territory should the Austrians declare a war against us in the future. We should not fight Austria until it is wiped out from the records of history as we need to make peace as quick as possible in order to focus again on science and the welfare of our people.

The last poll ws very badly voted. It was so badly voted that the 2 turns optios won by two votes (one from me and other from someone else)

The discussions is pretty much closed. So I will keep up with my plan. My delegate can hadle form here.
