Tough one this, excellent candidates... I probably would have voted for H Tower had he run, but alas... Off the bat, my preference probably goes to J Bytheway, but I'm not gonna make the same mistake twice and will wait at least 4 days before voting

Well, I'll make some attempt at a campaign speech:

I think I am well-qualified to be a judge, since I can be meticulous, but also not be blinded to the spirit of the law by focusing too much on the letter.

I worked on the constitution, and am trying to improve it still (but I will not present my amendment for polling until after H Tower's is finished), with the goal of generally avoiding problems and smoothing the game so that we all enjoy it more.

I think I agree with all the rulings and decisions of the court so far, and would not have done anything differently.

J, I'd absolutely love to work together on revising the CON, and going through a dozen amendments would really get to be boring. nobody is saying we can't work together on amending. (We can even get Locutus to change the name of the thread to include your name )

Voted for IW, he seems to be around here most out of the candidates, and we dont want another impeachment.

Gilgy is back now so what are we going to do with this poll?

Well Gilgamensch was officially impeached so the poll is still needed.

Plus, not everyone may trust him not to disappear again (I do, but we've got 40 players and I can't speak for all of them).

the other way to look at it is that everyone hear couldn't win their chosen position and now are willing to settle for ANY position. Not exactly an idea I cherish for my beloved court.
I probably would have voted for H Tower had he run, but alas...
like I said in the nomination thread, it just didn't feel right for me to nominate myself for a position i forced open, if someone had actually nominated me... well, that would have seemed a at least a little bit more kosher.

Right now I'm more inclined to give the office to DoT or gilgamensch because I know they both care about being a judge, DoT ran in the election a couple days ago, and Gilg has been in the court before, only a set of unfortunate circumstances led to his removal

Well, I've been on both ends of court cases, and have had some conversations with H Tower last round as to the nature of things.
I will be here, the chat room, ICQ, MSN within reach of the court and the citizens.

                          Blah.

The enjoyment and smooth-running of the game is more important than keeping rigidly to the rules IMO. You know what I think.
