  • Apologies

This is my apologise for not participating, while I needed to.

I am sorry about what happened, but as Murphy's law is stating:

Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong.

I upgraded right after X-mas my PC (new video-card some extra hard disk) and what happened, nothing worked. Thanks to the bank-holidays it took over two weeks to get my PC running. As I mentioned before I am also moving flats (and being on holiday), so I had no chance at all to access the web.

No I am back to work and have access again to the web. (back at home it is working as well, but too late).

    And again

    My sincere apologies.

    Gilgamensch

PS: I should have known it before and should have choosen a delegate.

Good to see you are ok! I was really worried.

We all understand who never had this kind of problem anyway.

It's just a bit anoying to have all those problems and only because of a little upgrade.
I already played a lot with my computer, but never had something like this. By the way, the reason for my problem was, that the power-supply wasn't strong enough for the new graphic-card.......................

300W is a must nowadays or do you need even more?

I've only had a 200W power supply. At the time I bought it was sufficient, but nowadays ............ You shouldn't get below 300W, otherwise you are doomed......... espacially if you use like me SCSI with a couple of HD's and 1 CD-ROM + 1 CD-RW. Takes to much power already.........

By the way: Thanks to all for the warm 'welcome'.
