The War Party: Membership and Philosophy

Welcome to the War Party!

Philosophy:

- The War Party was founded in 3720 BC for the glory of Lemuria! The base philosophy of the War Party is:

The advancement of Lemuria by the sword.

- The War Party is an official political party, and as such requires membership. Membership is attained by expressing your interest in joining at the bottom of this thread. Once accepted, you will be added to the list of members in this thread.

- Any threads/polls opened for the War Party MUST be preceeded with "War Party:" in the subject line. This is so members can easily find and participate in party debate.

- The Chairman of the War Party is responsible for opening discussions on party policy, which will then be voted into the official game's polls. Note: you are not bound by party policy, it's intended as a guide for how the party will vote. You can vote however you like on the official polls, but this may be to the detriment of the War Party. The Chairman is also responsible for holding an election for the War Party Chairman, which will be held from the 1st of every month. The timetable for these elections is as follows:
- 20th every month: Open nomination thread.
- 1st every month: Open election thread based on nominations.
- 7th every month: Election closed. Majority vote is new Chairman.

- The Chairman MUST be elected from current standing members only, but the vote is open to all.

- If the Chairman is unable to perform their duties, they may nominate a stand-in.

Ammendments:

Ammendments to the War Party's philosophy may be expressed at the bottom of this thread. It will then be voted on by the members, with a minimum of half the members at that time required to vote. The majority vote wins.

We need some parties in this democracy game! Creates some atmosphere and debates. Always healthy.

Good question. But if we don't allow members to "cross the floor", then it sort of makes as more dictatorish than democratic. I'd say no to that particular one. Anyone else got something to say? As for guarenteed votes, I'd think that's a gimme as we can get our policies into the game more than if peaceful ministers are elected.

I have tried to write two things for the history thread(one of them was very long) and lost them both times(u can't click the back button twice and refresh in explorer now to recover lost posts ). My post was just maybe some philosophy for the war party? Well i ripped off my fav film and made a Lemur abridged version

Let's see if we can stop them from building a settler and get them to start building warriors. We do need at least one unit to defend our city.

Hint: always write long posts in NotePad or Word or something similar, so you won't loose it if the server screws it up (which is not all that uncommon).
