  • tga question

In the orders.txt there's an entry CPIcon with an tga file. I was trying to look for that file but couldn't find it. Is that entry even used?
Then there's the entry DefaultIcon, but no special OrderIcon.txt.

What I did find are the tga's uco###.tga which seem to be the cursors, but I really have no clue.

    Anybody more experienced in this?

CPIcon is the icon you find on the order button bank. The indices with the cursors are really strange it seems that there is a index shift by +1 if you enter InvalidCursor 2 then it seems UC003.tga is used. Of course to clear this up, just use the Trial and Error method.

      Thanks.
So the DefaultIcon entry is useless?
And where would I find the CPIcon? The name's upsi##.tga

DefaultIcon is a link to the uniticon.txt for the Great Library.

The upsi##.tga files are located in the *.zfs files in the picture folder use the zfs reader by Martin the Dane you find in the Great Apolyton Directory.

Is it possible to change one of the tgas in that zfs file?
Can I give the CPIcon an entry that refers to a tga file that I put in the pictures folder?
Can I add new cursors with the next available number?

(I'm asking to save me some testing work since you seem to know that stuff terribly well!)

It is not possible, but it isn't necessary either, because first the game will search for an *.tga file in the picture directory and use it, is there no *.tga file then it looks into the *.zfs file for an according *.rim file.

            Yes, as I explained above.

I never tried this but should be possible.
