  • how to read the usercritmsgs.txt ?

just want to find out why my current cradle game always stalls at the same turn

does anybody know how to read that file?

    thanks

To read a *.txt file is easy just use notepad or just double click on the file.

But I think it doesn't contain any information about why cradle crashs it could be a slic if yes you will be able to continue the game for at one turn (or more) if you reloadlic on the turn before the crash. To reloadslic just open the chat screen by using the apostrophe key (') and enter: /reloadslic

lol, sorry for the unclear posting, actually i knew how to open that file, i was wondering about what the lines i read there have to say. and i presume it has information abuot the crash because its always updated when the game stalls.

will try the reloadfunction, though it wont be much of fun having to do that every turn.

      thanks anyway

If you have to do it every turn then you can also disable some of the slic the question is just what part. Well and tell me if in the extra turn that you gain a civ was added to the game. If yes then the problem lies in the CRA_Diplomod.slc.

If I open the usercritmsgs.txt then I find this in it:

That are actual the game messages with a Do not show again button on it. I disabled the last two messages from the cheat editor. So that doesn't has to do anything with crashes.

That looks like the list is updated with message entries when the message appear. You probably never used the ReloadSlic button of the cheat editor or the generate goods button.
