Should the Holocaust be in the World war 2 scenario

It's historicaly accurate, but will it really add to the game or does it just rub salt into too many peoples wounds? In an ancient scenario these games do model slavery and you could argue that what your proposing is no different.On some levels you'd be right but on another it does seem a little like trying to 'glorify' what a specific people in the historical present went through. Ask yourself if you were Jewish would you want to play it? If you wouldn't then maybe alienating a section of the scenario playing public isn't the best thing to do???
If you don't have a problem with it on any level then i can only asume you are actually a Nazi lover trying to inflict your passion's on unsupecting CTP2 fans I hope i'm wrong. At the end of the day i doesn't bother me as such - I'm just not sure if you've really thought it through in all its ramifications.But good luck in you scenario creations - we do need more!

But you could argue as well if you wore irish to not have the berserker unit because my countrymenn raided the costal city's of Ireland took slaves slaughtered the remains burned the farms raided the church or monastery for many hundred years in there berserk rage

I agree, while it shouldnt be glorified or in some way just used as a ''toy element'' to make the game more realistic, it shouldnt be forgotten that this did happen and should therefore be included in some capacity. In what way, i wouldnt exactly know. I voted for yes.

I don't think you need to model/include the Holocaust. What would it be? A feat of wonder? A wonder of the world? A city improvement? Gas chambers as a tile improvement? A side effect of a fascist government (go racially insane and slaughter your own citizens)? It would not enhance the game.

There are plenty of opportunities for genocide now, especially with the KillCities slic.

I am for the holocaust to be added it may be a good chance to educate some modders that it was not just the Jews who got killed.

Other groups who got killed are

Communist and gypsies

It may be historically accurate but CTP is a game and I don't think the holocaust has any place in a game....somethings are just not appropriate for games.

All unit's from WAW, i canged the name's of few unit from it
They are:
Stormtrooper to Waffen SS Regt
Mark IV to Panther.
that's it
and also i canged the stats for many tanks

Other unit's that will be included are:
Panzer III
Panzer II
Dutch Infantry
German Infantry
Belgian Infantry
French Infantry
All from the WW2 scenario from activision
And all other unit from the WW2 Activision scenario

I didn't actually think you were a Nazi-fan So sorry if i came across too strong.It's just that after the thread Elvismonster mentions above - it just seemed a bit contentious, that's all.Sort of like saying a scenario on the Palastine/Israeli conflict with suicide bombers would be a good thing to do Do you see what i mean? Some things IMHO are too close in a historical sense to be able to tackle without causing offense(berserkers were at least 1000 years ago!).Anyway the scenario sounds great - how long before we can try it?

I voted for "no" because I think this anti-"building" has no sense in a war scenario (beside the aspect of offending millions of people...). IMO such an "improvement" had not an effect on the general warfare in WWII.
