    You're welcome, but you can take back the "thank you" if you wish, 'cause here's another I found last night:

    GL: Currency shows prereq of Trade and Copper Smelting, but Trade is a prereq of Copper Smelting.
    Actually, this is the way that the tech tree is set up...part of the problem is that Copper Smelting and Currency are on different branches of the tech tree, but those branches are closely intertwined at that stage of the game. And in setting up the tree, nothing really seemed to fit as the secondary prerequisite for the advances in question.

    Here's how the branches look

    Economic Branch
    Trade -> Currency

    Engineering
    Mining -> Copper Smelting -> Bronze Working

    In actuality, there should only be one requirement for Currency (Copper Smelting), but since Currency is part of the economic branch, it also has Trade as one of its official prerequisites, even though Trade already fulfilled Currency's other prerequisite (Copper Smelting)

    In the same way, Bronze Working should only have Copper Smelting as a prerequisite, but it also has Trade too.

    I know that is is not an entirely elegant solution, but you can approach it from this way...

    It is entirely possible to get Copper Smelting from an advance trade with another civ, or get it from a goody hut and you may still have to go back and research Trade to continue to advance in science.
    Yes, let's be optimistic until we have reason to be otherwise...No, let's be pessimistic until we are forced to do otherwise...Maybe, let's be balanced until we are convinced to do otherwise. -- DrSpike, Skanky Burns, Shogun Gunner

      The purist in me objects, but I suppose it's similar to a "hammock" in a PERT chart for project management. I'll just say "vewwy clevair" and leave it at that.
