I had this REALLY bizzare idea for a MOD, and I actually believe it can be pulled off. I'll run it by everyone to see what you think of it.
Basic premise:
- Instead of a civ's leader you're a company CEO.
- Instead of citys you have buildings.
- Instead of the normal units you have Sales Reps, workers, marketing, lawyers, etc.
- Instead of advances you have products.
- Instead of buildings you have upgrades (coffee room, store counters, aisles, extra floors on the building).
- Instead of the land terrain it's city terrain (houses instead of plains, commercial instead of desert, undeveloped instead of ocean, etc).
- Instead of tile improvements you could have zone upgrades (high-rise apartments, billboards, etc)
- The first upgrade you build in a building will determine what type of building it is (depart store, head office, factory, raw material).
The aim of the MOD is to put the other CEO's out of business. By using Sale's Reps you can steal business from other company's buildings, store workers can't leave your buildings (like MedMod's militia) but provide protection against rival Sale's Reps. You can also bribe (build) council engineers to destroy a rival's upgrade in one of their buildings. Things like that.
Basically, picture the game Capitalism Plus and that's sort of the idea I've got. What do you think?
