      I've also attached the default FLIC, just in case. There are also FLICS for fidget, fortify, and victory, but whether or not those are necessary is beyond my knowledge

        The fidget, fortify and victory aren't really used in CtP. I guess you could use the fidget as an idle animation, but then unless you line it up perfectly, it screws up the battle animation, so I don't bother usually.

          Thanks Centrifuge, I will put that into a sprite some time in the next few months.

          Attached is the Legion Sprite. Unfortunately, the Civ 3 flics loose just that little bit of detail when you enlarge them

                Will any of these sprites, from stankarp, Civ 3, and Age of Empires make their way into some mods? I've never downloaded individual sprites before. Will they work with other mods?

                  Hello Aias,

                  I am working on a Cradle update, 1.36, which will feature all the new sprites, and some existing ones not used in cradle, should be available in about 3-4 weeks.

                  All new sprites including mine can be used in any game. If you dont like, say, the mounted archer, there is a horse archer from aoe available, put the completed sprite in your default/graphics/, sprite folder, not replacing any existing sprite but give it a new number under 200. Then go into the default/gamedata/ newsprite and find the mounted archer and change the number after it to the number of your new sprite.

                  To complete the job, you want new pictures for the game displays. Use photo shop or similar to open some existing ones in default, graphics/pictures, to see the sizes, there are 3 for each unit, eg UPUP03A.Tga, UPUP03B.Tga and UPUP03L.Tga. Sprite makers usually make new Tga's so save the new ones into your pictures folder, just giving them the same number as the the unit your are replacing in default/gamedata/unitcon file.

                    Hi Locutus,

                    Someone made the comment recently and I agree, could we update the library of sprites and unit graphics sometime.

                    Carneron produced some sprites last year, but because that thread is so old, its hard to find it in the archive. I was lucky and downloaded them back then, but someone now would never know about them or find them. In addition the sprites on this thread will also become harder to find once I finish this work.

                    Could we set up a library like the Civfanatics site?

                      What library?

                      You mean the Directory? If so, any files that are submitted will be placed, but it's the responsiblity of the author to submit the files...

                      CivFanatics? Oh, you mean that site I never visit unless Apolyton is down?
