DiffDB.txt
i think i kinda messed up the DiffDB.txr file... and i don't want to reload the whole game for this file. can some on e send me the original, unaltered DiffDB.txt file? thanks in advance.

If youve got the hard drive space you can copy the files civlang.ctp and civmain.ctp from D:\Setup\data D: being where your cd rom is. 119MB in total on my cd anyway. You can just open them on the cd rom and copy the files you need. These can be opened with any zip program.
DiffDB.txt is in civmain.ctp but beware some files are replaced by the patch so you might need to check the v1.11 patch in zip form too. [/ramble]

The DiffDB.txt is from November the 1st 2000, as the files from the patch are created later there is no DiffDB.txt in the patch.
Alternativly you could also use a DiffDB.txt from GoodMod, if you like to make the game a little bit more difficuilt for you.
