Those slaves in your city aren't from Trondheim are they? If they are, maybe Sweden feel justified in trying to free their people?
But yes it is annoying that to get a harder game out of the AI, frenzy slic has weakend diplomacy somewhat. As Pedrunn said, trust no-one.

That is why you never have your capital near another Civ's cities, always have your important cities surrounded by at least one ring of other cities the attacker has to get first.
