Or maybe because there was more interest in this project here than in the civ3 creation forum. They still consider changing a couple of hit points over there as a "mod".

No there will still be a civ 3 version of this mod. Work will commence on it when the CTP2 TAHS is completed.

            Might need some with this....

            Greetings, one and all!

This reply is to request aid in the creation of the American History Series.

I can make the maps and dig up the historical stuff (want to be as accurate as possible). The problem is that I need assisstance with the SLIC codes and new sprites (YES! I want to also re-create the units of the time!)

If anyone wants to help me with the SLIC and/or the sprites, your help will be greatly appreciated. You will also receive credit in the "readme" my gratitude.

I'll provide the the list of events, scripts, uniform design, etc.

            Thank You

Just name what you want slic written. I can try to help. Send me a PM or post here

But i am no good to the new units. And i believe you will have a hard time finding someone for this task for sure. Our communit is poor in designers,

As for maps there are some north american maps in the database like this 90 x 180 and this (I believe it is the same as the last one) and this 210 x 210

Sprite making isnt that hard at all, in that its not difficult, but it takes a **** load of repetition, anyone can do it, just no one wants to Theres probabaly some good units you could convert from the civ3/ptw flc files, if you get Animation Shop on free trial or somethin then you can open them and see.

Unfortunately, there isn't a lot of sprites available for the time period 1700-1900, (2 cavalry/2 infantry/2 cannon) but there is an easy workaround. You can create a set of tga files, using a symbol like stars or different colored backgrounds to designate different levels of units. At least a player can then tell what type of unit he has in a stack.

He won't be able to easily tell what he is up against though - but that would make for a more interesting game, IMO.
