  • A secret about ruins in ctp2

    As we all know ctp2 was never finished. Well a small discovery i made the other day was that ruins where going to be changed from ctp1 to ctp2.

    Look at TI 92 in the tile file, you will see a ruin that is not used anywhere in ctp2 not even the scenarios. Now load up ctp2 and look in the GL for Ruins, displayed will be (u got it) tile improvement 92 with a nice background.

    What would be a nice addition to new and old mods would be if this TI92 could actually be put into the game as a third goody hut. Im sure it will take two secs for you modders and would be a nice little addition
    Activision must have been strapped for time if they got that far and didnt implement it (made the TI made it the GL pic etc)
    anyway attached is what it looks like to those of you who dont know or cant remember

    Can't change goody hut graphics AFAIK.

        So u cant add a new ruin graphics so there are three (stonehendge, Easter Island heads and this one) ?

            So u cant add a new ruin graphics so there are three (stonehendge, Easter Island heads and this one) ?
            Technically, you can, but it would be a lot of hassle for not very much gain.

            And I've never played EU2

              Yes you can change hut graphics. Using tile edit. Just replace the two used hut pics with your choices and your there. In my scenario I changed them to represent derelict alien cities.

                  Any way it is possible to add goody huts to the game using slic using tile imps.

                  For regular goody huts after you invent a few tiles you find that one will just make ruins.
