I believe it would be best to agree to not attack Mobius for a while even though I want to . Maybe even gift him some techs, if agrees to be a thorn in Demos's side like Shavlor was .

Wales welcomes Mobius as the new leader of Rome. Rumours abound of the huge task that lies ahead of Mobius in his path to civilising the barbaric roman nation, which has for so long been a scourge to the peace-loving Welsh.

Rome undertakes that any tech gifted or details of negotiations will not be passed on upon our oath of honour...

As an example of the types of actions Rome sees as furthering the cause of a potential candidate, Rome asks that Wales shows goodwill in withdrawing her Cleric S from Roman lands and allowing Rome to set up an Embassy with Wales...

In the interests of the Roman State, Rome feels she must sign herself to the best overall offer within 3 of her neighbour's turns...

Due to the expansion of the Welsh Empire, certain basic needs of our civilians must be met. In order to do this, the Welsh government has invested heavily in a new area of science, that of electricity.

Through the control of this science, we in Wales hope to give our citizens the very comforts that they desire, and a program of household lighting is currently being looked at.

In order to achieve such a undertaking new innovations, such as electricity, will have to be harnessed to their full potential, and so a new laboratory is being constructed where the greatest Welsh minds will meet up and steer Wales to an even greater future.

Early indications are encouraging that most other nations welcome Rome's initiative of Alliance - we are a nation so impoverished that we have nothing to lose by extending our hand to friendship...

Rome salutes the peaceful gesture of the Welsh in moving their cleric South...

Rome has embarked on an ambitious programme of building Granaries and Aqueducts for our beleaguered citizens - any help who be greatfully appreciated in assisting us in these aims...!

There is growing unrest amongst the Welsh Presbyterian Church. The reason for this is that Egyptian heretics have been spotted heading towards Brecon.

The WISE have noted the position of these waywrd clergy, and advise the Egyptian Lord Ra to recall his straying servants before harm come their way, as the Welsh Priests can become somewhat 'frollicsome' after a few ales.

Many in Wales believe that the Egyptians are building up to something, especially with the huge growth of production that seems to be emanating from the Nile basin. Viscious rumours abound of the church's inhumane treatment of its subjects, and it is all I can do to stop my bishops from calling the Welsh nation to arms.

Of course, I personally don't believe a word of it, and I know my good neighbour Sophix to be a kind and true leader, ruling his people with honesty and dignity. But it is not altogether inconceivable that those with power below him might be abusing their positions.

Yes Egypt is building up to something, such as Universities, Theaters, and all manner of buildings for the well being of Egypt.

As to the cleric he is staying put as to watch carefully the actions, of the Welsh cleric, who is known for his zealotry.

Steve Waugh we are a little uncomfortable concerning the location of your Ship of the Line near our new city of Abydos.

Response to Rome's offer of allegiance has been very encouraging indeed!

This is the last turn in which to offer Alliance...

We are an impoverished nation and therefore must look most kindly on that nation which gives us the greatest amount of aid this turn and can assure us of future aid - given the right encouragement we could also prove useful in future scientific endevours, provided our current shortfalls are catered to...

Forgive us our self interest, but where other nations are striving to lead the World - we poor Romans merely strive to survive and feed our impoverished and downtrodden masses...

Steve Waugh expresses his embarrassment at this incident . The HMAS Lung was commissioned by Steve Waugh the Legendary personally to embark on a voyage of discovery over the great ocean. We have no reason to believe that the captain of the HMAS Lung will stray from his duties, so the Egyptians should not be alarmed. We expect that he must be mapping the Egyptian coast. However, we cannot know the full story until the ship returns to shore, although we expect him back soon.

Australia is also please to see that the Romans have returned to the path of righteousness and peace

So! The Egyptians go up in arms at an Australian ship sailing adjacent to their coast, while infiltrating Australia with a spy!!

The authorities had to hold off the lynch mob and escort the spy away for deportation. Sophix of the Egyptians, this international incident nearly resulted in the death of your spy, but the benvolent Steve Waugh insisted that his life be spared. However, repeated infringements shall not be tolerated. Foreigners must have permission to enter Australian soil.

This latest incident comes on top of Egyptian settlers settling on our border, which amounts to a security threat to Australia, as it is a gateway into our great land. Steve Waugh the Legendary is wary of the Egyptian threat, but has the means with which to deal with it, if necessary.
