    OK, so I am not the only one to find the declaration of war between the Australian and Viking nations weird. I couldn't see any cause for it either. I don't think we have officially even made contact yet (though Viking ships have spotted at least one Australian city as they sailed past).

    oh, yeah... and Turn 73 to sent to shavlor.

      Well that is truly odd. That one is a first for me. This game sometimes has a mind of its own. Well whatever this decadent game has in mind, its not what I wish and I hope that we can overcome this glitch and have peaceful relations. According to my diplomacy screen we have made contact.

      The Australian people have also reported several sightings of Assyrian vessels. They are most welcome to come ashore and enjoy our fine women and beer. Or we can go hunting for great whites near the Great Barrier Reef. We Aussies don't use fishing line or hooks, those are for wimps. We just jump in and beat the living crap out of them with our mighty fists. After we knock them senseless we then haul them ashore.

          Turn 74 -> Kremen

          All of the world gathers in Sydney to participate in the Olympics. Sadly, the Assyrians do not know how to get there...

          A couple more cities rise up in the past 50 years in the Assyrian Empire. We also note the Greek phalanx outside of our city, but since our troops also occupy Greek soil around a Greek city, we are not upset.

            While Spanish scientists and scholars applaud the rumours of an "Age of Reason", Spanish economists lament the loss of the labyrinth. All those blue lines with trade good icons drifting all over the countryside were quite entertaining while they lasted ;-)

                Turn 76 -> Kremen

                Now there 'seems' to be peace between the Australians and Vikings, or is this another glitch in the world courier system?

                Oh well...separating fact from rumor is a never-ending task.

                  Turn to Spain

                  Pope Hextan has declared a national day of celebration for the great showing of the American swimmers in the Olympics, though the Aussies were impressive in their victories too.

                      Turn 77 -> Kremen

                      It seems that the Australian Navy is busy, as we have sighted several ships (or the same one many times) sailing hither and yon...

                          My regards to the Greek Horsearcher and the Canadian Horse Archers (one of which still owes me a beer). Molson or Labatt's will do just fine.

                            Any idea if Shavlor got his email problems fixed?

                            The Assyrian Crew of Magnificent Edifices (ACME) is proceeding to a new elephant site to build another city. It has truly been boom times for empire expansion.

                              Turn 80 -> Kremen

                              There was a great disturbance in the force this turn. It seems that there are slaves anticipating Emancipation before it happens.

                              However, there is no guarantee that Emancipation will even happen...
