  • Looking for a PBEM

Never done this before, but I'd like to try it.

    My suggestions are:

    Difficulty: Deity
    Map Size: Small
    Players: 8 (if possible)

These are the settings I use to battle the AI. But as you know, the AI sucks. So I'd like to try it out with some human opponents.

I would also join a running PBEM.

    Hi:

I'm surprised no-one else has responded to you yet. I had the same problem when I posted here for the first time about a month ago. I got to many games on the go now, as I am filling in for a friend on vacation.

Do you want to play smac, smax, or civ2. If the latter - wrong thread. If smac or smax, then the highest level, if that's what you want is called transcend. Also, i would suggest for your first game, you play with just 1 or 2 other humans until you get the hang of it. Every extra human in the game increases exponetially the chances of failure of the game. Also, I believe the max number of factions is 7. Is this right? If you haven't got anything in six weeks, drop me a line.

Why only a few people like to play in a small map?
I never play in a small map with AI, because i need to grow first.
But with human, we can have a diplomatic solution.
With a small map we can meet our opponent in a short turn. It means we can play with other, not alone, and make some aggrement.

          It's like playing scenario WWII,
All have their own city and army. Ready to destroy their neighborhood .

          How about you?

I never played a scenario, so I can't say too much about this. Lets see if we find some other players for a small map. Then we can choose the settings.

BTW: The only exciting thing for me when play against the AI is a small map, 8 civs and deity. I still grow faster then any of its civs. (Or a large map with 32 civs, of course ... ;-)
