I think I'm getting close, I see a beaver floating along a coastline.

ANARCHY REIGNS AT SUDDEN DEATH OF EL CID!

Troops patrol the streets of many Spanish cities as the country is in a state of near civil war. Factionalism within the Council of the Republic has made the naming of a new El Cid impossible. Meanwhile, the streets have become fertile for revolutionary ideas to grow. The pioneering spirit which has propeled Spanish to be the leading civilization of the world, has also created a people of independent spirit. Academics, Merchant Associations, and leading clergy, all are calling for a more representational form of government. Only time will tell what will evolve from this time of crisis.

                  NEW CITY AND CIVILIZATION DISCOVERED

Contact has been made with the Canadian people. An offer has been made to share with them Spanish maps, hailed by the known world as the best. The Council of the Republic eagerly awaits the Canadian response.

                    SPANISH VESSEL SPOTTED

A mighty Spanish galleon has appeared off the coast of Canada. Spanish dignataries came ashore and were cheerfully greeted by Canadian officials. The Spanish offered to exchange maps. We accepted their request and held a great party in their honour.

BARBARIAN TRIBES INVADE IN THE NORTH

We regretfully report a Canadian city has been destroyed by Barbarians. The Canadian people thank the Spanish people for their sending of condolences. This tradegy has been a terrible blow to the Canadian people.

                      Turn to Chris.

German representives want the Canadians to know that they are praying for a speedy recovery after the Barbarian attacks.
