              Turn to Slamp

Greetings Germans, this is an Aztec Island. You are free to sail within our waters, but do not land.

                  Athens News #1

The Greek Nation celebrated today the foundation of the “ Athens News” news agency. This agency is meant to provide accurate and objective information on events that affect the course of the Greek Nation! In our first report the leader of our great country, Tilemacho has stated the guiding principles upon his futures governing:

                  1. The assurance of wealth and prosperity of the Greek people.
                  2. The development of friendly and profitable relationship with other Nations.
                  3. The defence of the Greek territory against all trespassers!
                  4. The economic and scientific development of the country.

Early in the evening the Ministry of foreign affairs has made the following statement: “We have already made contact with three of our neighbors, the Celts, the Germans and the Assyrians. After negotiations we have achieved to exchange maps with both the Celt and the Germans and also sign a temporary peace treaty with these two Nations. Unfortunately we didn’t have the opportunity to negotiate with the Assyrians but hope that this can be done in the near future.”

The Minister of Finance has answered to our questions about the sadden decrease in the country’s gold reserves: “ It is truth that the precipitation of the constructions in our newly founded cities has greatly reduced our gold reserves but we are optimistic that the new government will take all the necessary steps to increase it fast. To this aim I would like to inform you that we have made an offer to our friends, the Celt to buy some of their goods.”

Late in the evening we got informed that the Minister of National Defense has submitted his resignation because of the resent decision of Tilemacho to half the upkeep costs of the army. Unfortunately we were not able to cross-check this information.

                    Turn 4 to Don.

Greetings to you strange Aztec people. We look forward to meeting in the flesh and seeing for our own eyes whether the rumours of your strange practices with Pyramids and internal organs are true.

                      To the Germans

You have our maps which verify the claim we have to the island. As to the practices you refer to, these are the old ways. Also, such sacrifices required a steady supply of enemy prisoners, we do not currently have any enemies. Of course this may change in the future.

                        Turn 5 to Tilemacho

Slamp 1er, first priest of Celts had accept to sell some goods to Greeks merchants. He also accepted an invitation from Tilemacho, the greek leader, to come to Athens to discuss about a border proposal. He said that: "Celts and Greeks share the same land but this land is a continent and we could live in peace with our neighbourg".
Moreover, the Ministry of Celts Army annouce that mobilization of Celts people is finish and they will prepare peace instead.

Aztecs, we are surprised to find that you have made landfall upon our continent. We suggest a firm border agreement ASAP to avoid any unfortunate misunderstandings.

Germans, it should not be so surprising when you see our capitol, Tenochtitlan, is located on a small island with few resources. The Aztecs braved the seas to find area were our people could thrive. One group went north and one south. Since the northern island appeared larger, more settlers were sent there. Our cartographer will draw a map with the proposed borders. But it appears unlikely more than a few more cities will be built in that area. The swamps will provide a natural boundry between us.
