As Slamp has noted, there is a war.
The Assyrian government is saddened to report an unprovoked attack on the Hebrew Empire by the greeks. Phalanxes struck without warning and executed a group of settlers as they were proceeding to a location to build a new city. The Hebrew government has yet to be informed of this base act. As allies of the Hebrews, the Assyrians nation has shouldered the responsibility of notifying the Hebrew leader.
As allies, the Assyrians and Hebrews stand united in condemnation of this attack. Let the other nations of the world note how the greeks act toward other nations...
This attack will not be forgotten, and action will be taken.
In other news, the Du Shakkaran Rockets defeated the Ninevah Cosmos 110-89 in basketball.

It seems that the Greeks are not the only ones on the warpath. Units of devious and deceitful Irish have thrust themselves onto the spears of a Viking Phalanx that was quietly guarding the approaches to the Viking Empire. This despite the ink from an Irish/Viking peace treaty (signed last turn) having not even been given time to dry. Justice has taken its course however, and the Irish aggressors were all slaughtered without loss of Viking troops. As no Viking lives were lost in the attack, and seeing little to be gained by either side from a war at this time, the Viking empire is willing to allow bygones be bygones, and call an early end to this ill-fated conflict. That is, if the Irish are willing to call off their aggression... Otherwise... well, the Irish have already learned the sturdiness of Viking steel.
