How can I play multiplayer ctp?

I know there's the PBeM and hotseat thing, but that's not available yet, so is there another way to play? Is simultaneous play possible? If so wouldn't a game take forever?

If anyone has played multipl. please give me a flavour of what it's like.

Yup. Simultaneous is available. IMHO, it's excellent. I've only played on a lan, so the connection time and everything was sweet. It doesn't take too long, because the only thing that you can't do when it's not your turn is move units. So there isn't much waiting. And you can direct your units to go somewhere when it isn't your turn. So, in my experience, it goes pretty fast. I've played as much multiplayer as single, and I love it.
Of course, lan makes it nicer.
