  • Lung loses a drinking partner!

A fine Welshman by the name of Mobius flies out of the land of wombats and cold beer tomorrow, leaving Lung with one less drinking partner

If it wasn't for Steve Waugh's last-ball century today, today would be a total loss!!!

Still, England's gain is Australia's loss

    Farewell, Mobius! Adios! Bugger off!

Seriously, though, we'll meet again for a beer one day, friend

Not a big drinker, mind you, but a drinker nonetheless Then again, Mobius is much more civilised than the Barmy Army that's following the English cricket side around Australia at the moment!

          Is Mobius returning to UK?

I though he was English, not Welsh.

Yes, he is returning to the UK, but only because Australia only grants crappy 6 month working visas.

Also, he is British and a Londoner, but his heritage is Welsh

I've heard that is a b-i-t-c-h to get a visa in Australia

I wonder, aren't UK residents permitted to freely work in Australia?
Isn't Australia member of the Commonwealth (or what ever is called)?

I think they used to be, and visa versa (pardon the pun ) Certainly, until a few years ago, Australians and Kiwis didn't need visas to enter each other's countries, but i guess that the bastards wouldn't go home, so something had to be done to keep the sheep-****gers out

As usual, i have no idea what BirdDude's on about

                    Shut up

Actually, if you visit any NZ airport, Aussies and NZers are sheperded thorugh one section of immigration and all foreigners (including Pom...Englishmen) are stuck through the other one.

Apparently from what I've heard from certain Finns, if you are a Swedish/Norweigen/Finnish/Icelandic citizen, you don't need a passport to go thorugh each border, which is what happened between Aus and NZ a few years ago, although now you need a Visa.
