    Hi Guys!
We have installed win2000pro and can not play CTP in multiplayer mode on LAN.
If I join the lobby my partner can not do it. If I leave teh lobby, she can but I can not. We receive masseges like Access deinied, Can not join Lobby etc.
Is there any idea how to fix that?
We played this game on Win98SE without any problem...

Network protocalls are different between the to O.S's

Is there a specific need to use win2k? If not dump it and go back to win98se and or winxp.

      Than)
We use the same OS and tcp/ip prot. sharing an ADSL connection. I downloaded yesterday all the patches to Win2k and today I am going to check if it works or do not. Anyway that is interesting and I would like to investigate this problem. I think there is something wrong with security)) We have to use win2k because of Internet sharing. It did not work properly on win98.
      Thank you again)

It would work in either os provided you have separate ip addresses. You see the server see's only one not two computers.

Ultimately you need to establish static ip(s) that are different from each other on the www on each or one computer.

One way to do that would be to have one computer log on to a backdoor and or front door of say a universty server. You would then launch the game from that ip address and the other computer normally.

An anonimiser would do the same thing but would require extra effort.

With a little google effort you can find free servers to log on to and then create the static ip address for one computer. That would be all it would take really.

I have not tried it but it is also possible to use a router to launch a head to head game.
