If it's not too late, I'd like in.

            here we go.

first of all there are a few stats from the const.txt file i changed as a test:

Ruins per Box Chance: from 1.0 to 1.2

Ruins Width and Length (whatever they mean, i try to find out): from 6 to 8

Unit Heal Rate Outside of Cities: from 0.1 to 0.3

Gossip Chance: from 0.02 to 0.4
meaning that Diplomats close to another player's capital can get information of the map of that player, that is, if it wasnt disabled by the programmers of CTP. dunno

here the stats of our world:

            ruins: on
            wonders: on
            size: gigantic
            civs: 8
            diff: deity
            barb: max
            poll: on
            blood: off

            stats:

            Wet/Dry: 0.7
            Warm/Cold: 0.4
            Ocean/Land: 0.3
            Island/Continent: 0.1
            Diversity: 1.0
            Goods: 0.4

            player order:

            1.) checkMate, USA gossett192@yahoo.com
            CheckMate of the Native Americans

            2.) quinns, USA quinn2084@yahoo.com
            Quinns of the Americans

            3.) Lunger75, AUS lunger75@hotmail.com
            Chop feng-shui of the Chinese

            4.) Geoffrey, AUS geoffparnold@bigpond.com
            Geoffrey of the Australians

            5.) Shaved Ape, RSA theapeman@hotmail.com
            King Kong of the Dutch

            6.) berXpert, MEX berXpert@yahoo.com.mx
            BerXpert of the Mexicans

            7.) David42one, USA david42one@yahoo.com
            David42one of the Greeks

            8.) Mathemagician, GER mathemagician@gmx.de
            Rainer of the Dornheimer

the reason i put checkMate in seat 1 is quite obvious:
i didnt want to be in there myself.

so i regular-saved the file (without looking) for him, sent it to him, from where on it will be a usual PBEM game.

            did i forget anything ?
i will send mail to everyone that we started..

            have fun

Can't you just leave a good thing alone? All these tweaks and mods that some of you all make ... I get easily confused Once I figure out the rules A LITTLE someone comes along and throws a curve ball into the whole complex mess and then my head starts a spinning again! Hey, I got an idea lets put the ruins per box chance at 100 percent... then every square would have "goodies" in it... THAT WOULD BE MOST EXCELLENT AND FUN!

Seems like a waste of your valuable time...

Mind you so is this comment of mind...
