    OK here is the bones on my delays;

My D.D. had access to my computer while I worked one day, Saturday.

Following in her dads foots steps and detailed training she decided to reverse engineer our computer.

Having an entire day under her grandmothers supervision she pulled, unscrewed, disassembled every single component we had installed in this home system.

I have to admire her dedication to detail and precission not one screw or component was damaged.

One thing a five-year-old could not comprehend was static electricity. I will solve that problem this weekend with a trip to the Ontario science center where she will see static "el" for her own eyes.

The bottom line is she pooched our motherboard, no biggy I am still a proud father and her teaching will continue. Did she get a time -out or a severe thrashing, nope. Personally I am elated to see she has learned so much.

With a little more time she will head up the tech support here

So by tomorrow I should be back up and running, I trust most have the patience for this delay.

    Thanks for your patience :0)

Na Teenie is a fast learner. She has helped me many times in computer repairs.

Ever since she was a wee one she has understood the danger zones and has left them well alone.

Turns out all she did was zap, (5v) a ram slot and fried a 256 stick and the slot. No biggy and why would I even think of chastising her for being curious and or like me. The key is to show them the safe way to discovery and independence ;D

I will be online and playing by sunday, duo boot systems with all the software I have takes about 12 hours to load. My ghost cd was quit abused and scratched so I had to do it from scratch.

Heh life in the food chain

I have the feeling that your daughter will become a computer hardware engineer when she will grow up

When will you introduce her to software?
        Especially CtP?

We are grandparents, our grandson Cameron Tyler to enters the World on or around Feb 05, 2003. I had same Mountain tops and Valleys with our children, but thats the price ya pay and when all is said and done, when you are sitting across from them, them in early twenties, you in your late 40's or early 50's...why, the spilled milk, toppled plants, turned over tables, broken trinkets, well,

It is all such a blessing, of course.. its the GOING THRU THE WAR that makes ya appreciate it, sometimes...ya just wanna but hang in there, like Pete said about his youngun, its a learning experience, its over, the incident, so move forward..plenty more "opportunities" around the corner

                      Troll Too true

Keygen she will look at gav, and his ilk Monsters they are all monsters

The best part is straight right finish fresh troll. Kids yours or others need to know you have your head screwed on right.

Little chit is just that, ignore it as you said time.
Wrap or gap. One thing that amazes me is parents who instead of understanding and or recognition and or realization,,, drop on thier kids from day one to make them better than they were? Or just fret on the little chit. Bah redirect them into positive motions and or thought.

                      Reality is they are people...

                      People you love...

                      Individual people you love...

Give them morals, consience, love, warmth, and knowledge. Then let them be people.

Take the time and care and operation and presto!

                      You have a family

                      Love ya all be safe.

blackice, I'll really have to try and remember what you said. I think I'll probably have to fight hard against being negative.

                          BTW, any news from Garry?

PC, boy or girl? I guess you already know the sex. Unless you like long awaited surprises?

Born 1959..but have been accused of more like 1989.... ..

Im a Big Kid at heart..but due to having my childhood taken from me, have chose to live life to its fullest NOW versus having never really enjoyed it due to abuse..

I love children and want them to be prepared for what life has to offer..my son is a deputy sherriff with Onslow County North Carolina..over and over shared what life was like from "BAD" side of world..and his mom from allways "Thats not the real world" version..but when all said and done, as Pete stated in his post, finish on topso to speak, well, my son comes to me and now asks for advice and i allways try to not "tell" him what to do but merely "share" experiences..that is what I cherish so much, having watched him grow to be a man and now...being able to talk man-2-man...even though he is still my little boy whom was so scared of the Wookies in Star Wars.. (he'd laugh at that too, doesnt remember, I do because I had to get up in middle of night to show him they were not under bed, in closet, under the stairs, ect.)

Happy trails is all i know to say, wouldnt trade memories for anything!

But you all still feel younger than most of my age (1975)!

                              You are great guys
