Multiplayer server probs

Whenever I attempt to play a multiplayer game I choose internet and the window that says "Finding Servers" stays open and never finds actual servers.
I was hoping to play civ with a friend tonight, but so far it's not looking too hopeful.
Any help would be appreciated.

If you have never played CTP online or haven't played in quite a long time, the problem is your servers.dat file. This is a listing of the game servers, and the only two listed on the CTP CD are now inactive. Get a new copy the servers.dat file HERE

I just found out a little bit about hosting games.
All there was: An empty list of games.
Enough of that... Perhaps I should host an online game,
and see if anybody wanna join.

But what's the dynamic join in the rules options?
And what's the lock button for? Please help me!

dynamic join means that new players may come and join. They take over any available AI civiliztion.

Lock means no-one can enter the game without a password.

I think I'm gonna use the dynamic join option tonight.
Because last time I got to a lobby it was all empty.


So when (you) people perhaps during the night gets in,
you'll take over an AI and play with me. Or I join your game?
'cause I'm an addict and I can't wait for the overdose...
