  • Battle of the Americas I

    This will be the forum for Battle of the Americas.

    Here are the players:

    chadcoffman (coffman@chipar.com) - Cubans
    Maquiladora (maquiladora@blueyonder.co.uk) - Mexicans
    hatschy (hlern@gmx.at) - Canadians
    georgec (Georgec5614@cs.com) - Americans

    redbull (frozenfire911@hotmail.com) - Moderator

    Rules:

    No rush buy cheating. I assume you all know that trick, but I think the game is more fun without it. (You can still 'rush buy', just not using the trick of getting things at a lower price).

    Please avoid temptation to look at other people's turns or cheating in any way as it defeats the purpose of the game.

    No special rules regarding ruins/piracy/pilliaging or any other aspect of the game except as described here.

    All other rules are as described in PBEM Mod Lite (designed by Keygen):

    Features
    --------
    8 predefined advances: Agriculture, Toolmaking, Mining, Domestication, Bronze Working, Stone Working, Religion and Ship Building.
    1 bonus discovery randomly selected between Astronomy, Theocracy, Monarchy, Geometry, Iron Working and Writing.
    3 free caravans.
    3 settlers with increased movement by 900, totaly 1000, only for the first turn. After that turn the settlers' bonus movement will stop existing.
    10.000 gold and 5000 infrastructure (public work).
    1st city to be built within the first 5 turns will grand population of 3, bonus good within the city tile, 2 phalanx, 1 mounted archer and 1 settler.
    2nd & 3rd cities to be built within the first 5 turns will grand population of 2, 2 phalanx, 1 warrior and 1 settler.



    If someone will be away for more than a day or two, kindly let the group know so that we don't start to assume you have quit the game.

        Good idea. I hope that ruins are not off-limits as in the standard Challenge Ladder settings, cause I've already entered the first one (and found 100 and something in gold).

              chad i was thinking more the rules concerning barb settings, AI level, map composition, things like that. It would be nice to know.

                          Maquil, if you didn't know, the Craptivision Random Mapper is bias towards the first player (i.e. Chad) and the last person generally gets the worst (i.e. George)

                            Nope, didnt know that, cant imagine what everyone elses terrain is like then... chads is certainly better so far. Generally on CtP2, everyone gets a river each to start with, something to get used to again here.
