That's a good question. Birdman sent David the turn on Thursday. David seldom CCs me, so I don't know where the turn is at the moment.

Sorry for interfering but I had a map exchange with the Japanese recently and I do not wish in any case my maps been given to another nation.

I am sure you will come into an agreement but do not include maps, unless I earn something from it

    10000 gold?
Never heared of such an amound for a single advance before

Japanese, consider that as last warning! Reparations must be paid in full and without delay. In contrary you'll indeed bring your empire in jeopardy!

Japanese, you are fools if you thought you can commit such crime and walk away. Our secret service is capable enough to track such outrageous incident.
Follow our rightfulness demand and perhaps we'll spare your nation from total annihilation! You can not fool with Mayans.

I will not deny it, I did steal an advance from you. Can you blame me ?

I agree that reparations need to be made, but I'm writing to plea for a reduction in your demands. 10,000 gold is far too large a sum for 1 advance. I ask that you reduce this amount to 5,000. Also, your demands for my maps must by necessity be rejected, as that would put the very survival of my empire in jeopardy. Please show mercy in your time of greatness(I thought of that line myself)

    Would you?

For example, how much would you trust St Jon on your back?

That makes diplomacy a real art and not just a simple toy of the moment so be carefull how and with who you make deals or what kind of deals you do and for how long.

I guess you can't get away with a lot of stuff when your civ is not doing well. For instance, a weak nation that tries to pull a fast one on a powerful civ may find itself in a lot of trouble... *hint* *hint*
