PAULNO1 DEFEATS QUINNS IN DUAL-DUEL CHALLENGE MATCH
PAULNO1 TAKES OVER NUMBER ONE POSITION ON CHALLENGE LADDER
It was a very close dual-duel match. Paulno1 had only one Orange city remaining with a population of 1 when he wiped out my last Orange city at turn 73. That was a hard match to lose ... but a win is a win is a win Damn!
Regarding my upcoming match with berXpert... I am under no delusion that this will be, at all, easy. berXpert has defeated Paulno1 in non-challenge play. Last time berXpert and I played, his science was nearly double mine (prompting my pre-emptive attack that barely worked to my victory). It should be fun berXpert!
when one loses due to all his cities revolting, he may replay the turn that led to that situation.
this is because i feel the game is really unpredictable in some situations, and most importantly, doesnt warn you in advance.
neither does it say when you have too few gold to pay your wages, nor does it allow you to reduce work time too to compensate when the wages are force-cut.
sometimes it even fails to update the riot/rev field and you get totally surprised by revolting cities.
i lost my game to Hatschy this way (though he really was ahead in the game) and it was very bitter.
Baal: "You dare mock me ?"
O'Neill: "Baal, c'mon, you should know ... Of course I dare mock you."
as you wish, birdie.
the idea actually came to me when i saw the message icons for my next turn (that appear at the end of a turn) and saw all those "civilisation circles".
i wondered for a long time what i might have done to have my cities revolting but couldnt find an explanation. hence the idea.
but if all of you are fine the way it is, so am i.
