Wow you guys really finished each others weaker civ that quick. Man how bad was orange?
Blue had a better start -- long river through forests. Orange wasn't bad, though -- short river through grasslands, surrounded by mountains and forests. But Blue's strategy was basically the same for both of us -- build about 15 to 20 cities as fast as possible, then switch cities from settlers to samurai and horse archers. I think Paulno1 did better with his Orange defense though. He was able to afford some Orange samurai, before he switched to phalanx -- wheras, after building about 10 Orange cities, I went straight to phalanxes and city walls (awaiting the Blue onslaught).
It is nearly over. Maybe four turns at the maximum to go -- one way or the other.
With Math the game is going pretty slow at the start. Not a particularly great starting spot. But I seem to keep up with him so far. Haven't met him. I have had some luck with ruins.
Ricetyclik also about even haven't met yet. Better sp than my game with Math. I'm building tanks at turn 44.

Bird/Math: I am at war with Math and 2 AIs (at the same time). The Scottish AI have a very high level of science (advances) - that they unwilling are handing over to the humble vikings (me). Until now I have "got" 2 modern advances and are searching for no. 3 - electricity. I know they have it as they started on Edison before Math finished it
Ohhh, and I nearly forgot this: 2 of the AIs are very glad for my nation - and they hate Math. Therefore I am rewarding them with a little advance or two - or three. With a little luck, that should keep Math busy for a while
First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.
