I just took a replacement in a PBEM game. I got the patch I needed for the downloads page. When I tried to open it I got the message "file appears to be corrupt".

I need to try again. Does anyone have a patch (or know where I can get one) that you know works?

All right! Now I'm totally confused! (As if I didn't appear to be before!)
Just for kicks and giggles, I tried to download the patch again. This time I get the message "You do not need to run this adapter. It does not apply to your version of Civilization:Call to Power."
What does this mean? Am I not able to PBEM?

I checked the read me file on my disk which says I have version 1.2. Everything I read here said you needed this patch to play so I thought this was additional software and didn't think that I might already have it.
I appear to be set.

Does anyone want to play a game on the mediterranian map on Apoyton Pack or something?
I created a game on games.igateway.net but people seemed not to show up there. ("DrPlague's" something)

I read through all the "read me" files and there is instructions for multi player internet play, so I would assume I already have them

I may need temporary subs in all but my 1 on 1 games from 20th December to 10th January, as I am going to be with family in the UK during that time.

These games are:

A simple Matter of Domination,
BulletProof,
OCC,
Genesis.

Is it okay to have temp subs for 20 days, or should I have Permas

You can have temp subs for months if you'd like and could find such.

Unless of cource you're seriously thinking of permanetaly dropping all your games

Turn 107, 5 players, deathmatch with special rules where you have to eliminate only one player-target assigned from the start in secrecy, early to mid modern, good position, currently in offensive with another player.

2. Let There Be Rock
Turn 76, 6 players, standard, late renaissance, second position in the powergraph with a slightly ahead from the third position.

3. Three Guns
Turn 65, 6 players, team game consisted of 3 teams of 2 players each, deathmatch, late renaissance, quite balanced with all players but one currently battling for the first position in the powergraph. Applicant must be a resident of Oceania.

4. Monkey 1
Turn 275, 8 players, standard, late diamond, weak position with few chances of winning, chance to play the first CtP PBEM game ever started in Apolyton and see how a PBEM game ends.

5. Another World
Turn 150, 6 players, world map, standard, first position in the powergraph, currently in war with another player, very challenging for warmongers and capable military leaders.

6. High Voltage
Turn 138, 6 players (one eliminated), deathmatch, early to mid modern, good position (third and slightly behind from the second).

7. Strife
Turn 122, 6 players, standard, early to mid modern, good position (third).

8. Crossfire

9-10 Two Players needed for Fly High!
Fly High is a seven-player game currently on turn 137 in the Modern Era. The Gigantic map sports a single continent with several inland seas. Two positions are available:

The Spanish are in fifth place, but very close to the middle of the pack. They are in an excellent position for growth and with the right allies could be a force to be reckoned with in the end game.

The Indonesians are in last place and, to be honest, are in a world of hurt. They are currently at war with their neighbors, the Romans, who have recently taken several cities. This is a great challenge for the player who knows he can take a civ on the brink and bring it back to glory!

11. One Player and a Moderator needed for Genesis!
Genesis, an eight-player game with a very stable player roster is set on a Huge map with several continents and lots of ocean. One player and a moderator are needed.

The Americans are in fourth place in what is a very tight race in a very young game. The world can be your oyster! Join now!

We are also in need of a Moderator to give us a gentle kick in the butt when the turn stalls. If you aren't moderating at least one game, consider this as a means of giving back to the CTP community.

for gum can u get into the game lobby from the game or do u just keep waiting for servers?

yeah, I tried it. All I get is a dancing green bar and a message "waiting (or maybe it was looking) for servers"
