I decided to stop playing CTP PBEM. Please forgive me that I do not repeat my reasons in many threads. If you are interested in them see the following thread.
Thanks for the fun,
Franses
PS: played the turn and forwarded it to SwissyFranses (like Ramses).

I vote to disband this game.
Lung is out, Faded Glory is out, Franses is out. I suggest all moving to a format similar to Birdman and me -- one on one PBEM. Birdman and I are in our 60th turn after a little more than only a month of playing! Challenge each other -- it is a good time. The game with Bird and me is starting to get interesting. With one vs. one games (Spy vs. Spy), there is never any question of WHERE THE TURN IS!

Faded is still playing. But disbanding this game is ok with me.
New one vs. one games against Lung and Faded would be just fine with me. Though I think we should start with more than just one settler each as we (Quinns and I) did.First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.

I am for a PBEM Tournament.
I have put some work on it and have come up with three simultaneously rolling type of games.
a) One on One: One against one on a balanced map, possibly in advanced era and possibly with limited time of play or turns for fast resolution (1-2 months per game).
b) Tribes: Two against two, same as above.
c) Arena: 4 players, same as above.

Alright Berxpert, Keygen, Swissy, Faded, I am willing to play a one vs. one against either or all of you. (I already challenged Lung but he declined.)
The reason I like "One Settler, 100 Gold" pbem games is because nobody has to "place" any extra settlers or gold (it is all random), thereby having to initially reveal the map to the player setting up the game. Besides, the one settler games grow very fast -- for example, I have a population of 280,000 on turn 60 -- (Birdman has a different strategy than me in this game, with a population of 90,000).
That being said though, I am with whatever the consensus is about this PBEM tournament. I was accused earlier of being "closed minded" about ideas. Ha ha ha! Well maybe I am!! ... Until I hear of a better idea!!
Keygen, Would you like to start a new thread about this one vs. one tournament?? You are very good at organizing these events. The rankings in this one would be easy -- most wins in a one year period wins the tournament.

Sure Quinns, I will as soon as I am finished with my obligations on "Veterans In Arms", PBEM rules and FAQs I am working on. Hope quite soon though I had in mind starting that tournament in September since most people go on vacation during summer plus that "World Cup" is underway.

I was thinking you wanted to play with only one of us and as birdman play first I never respond.
