Sooner than expected, the irish leader got into diplomatic trouble (and negotiations).
The japaneese forced a no-trespass through to a part of an island, which the irish had lived on for centuries. Now the japaneese seems to have made a settlement on the same island.
As an acknowledgement, the captain on an irish SOTL was allowed to "persuade" some japaneese colonists to leave another island.
So much for the conflict.
As for the more peaceful negotiations - well this is not the time to make any further public announcements.
