Today after careful consideration by the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Roman forces launched a limited police action on some Viking rouges. Intelligence information has shown a rouge band of Viking troops has been harassing Roman citizens.
The Roman government expressed dismay at these actions to the Viking leaders. After several years it became clear the Viking government could do nothing about this band of rouge troops. The Roman government decided to act today. The rouge band was captured and or destroyed. No Roman casualties were reported.
We hope the Vikings see this as an act of friendship, their inability to control their own troops and people lead to this regrettable incident.
We urge the Viking government to restrain their troops, as we do not want this police action to be seen as a prelude to war between our nations.
Several captured rouges have been taken for interrogation and we will know more about them in the coming days.
The Roman government also believes this band to be not acting alone. Recent developments in the region point to a major unrest within the Viking nation.
Ramus Piticus head of the military join forces in the area reported that today the city of New York has joined the rebellion.
We are concerned about the state of the Viking nation he said. This is what prompted our immediate action to secure our borders.
