  • Who here plays to win?

Hi, you will probably not know me, I usually browse the civfanatics forums.

I am also in the ladder team for civfanatics ladders. Although we currently only support civ2 individual ladder and civ2 tribe ladder, we would like to support more ladders in the Sid Meijers series.

My question is: Do you like to play CTP for a tournament/ladder?

Naturally its somthing I go for. But If I can go down taking as many with me as possible, then thats good food for my ego (monkey)

CtP already utilizes my ladder system, as much as possible, in the crisis now.

I play solely for the cameraderie and friendships i garner in our little world

The thought of nuking the bejeezus out of my opponents and crushing them into the dust, and thus banishing them to eternal darkness never crosses my mind

        AS IF!!

          Yes and No

It depends on whether I start the game or take over from somebody who drops out. In the latter it is sometimes more a matter of trying to survive than trying to win.

Our ladders presume you play closed games. this means that no one can join, and if you drop out, you lose.
A ladder needs critical mass in order to work. We can not make a ladder for 10 persons. This is why I do this little poll. I want to know whether there is a need for a competitive ladder system for CTP.
