Killer Game Rules :
    Version 1.3

    Description :
Each civilization had to destroy an other civilization. The killer have to destroy its target. Of course each killer is the target of another killer. This is a bloodlust kind game. There is two kind of killer game :

Quick game. The game ends when a killer first kills its target.
Highlander game : There must be only one! Only one civilization must survive. Pure Bloodlust.
And 3 options :

No Innocent : Killing an "innocent" civilization is penalized (see § "Killing an innocent civilization").
Killed Target Always Count : Kill of an target always count for its Killer, even if another civilization destroyed it (see § " A civilization kills your target").
Kills Impacts Ranking System : Your Killer Score have an impact on the final Ranking.
Starting the game :

The game start as a normal PBEM game.
This a Blood Lust game.
At begin each civilization will be informed of there first target.
A civilization knows only the name of its target.
A target doesn't know the name of its "killer".
First Target Assignation Rules :

The target of each civilization chosen by the game administrator at his own convenience.
One target by civilization.
A target cannot have as target its killer.
Notes about point #1. Of course it could be wise that the game administrator takes in consideration the skill level of each player. The starting position can be took in consideration too.

    Game termination (Quick Game):

When a civilization kills its target at turn X, then the game will ends only when all players play turn X. With this system multiple winners are possible.

    Game termination (Highlander Game):

The rule is simple : the game ends when it left only one civilization.
Optional rule : When there left only two civilization, both can agree to a null result : both civilization will win the game. Each players and the game administrator must agree.

    Killer Score :
Each player begins with the killer score of 0 point.
The player's "Killer score" raises by one point when :
    • He succeeds to kills its OWN target.
    • He succeeds to kills its OWN killer.

    Rated Game

If the option "Kills impact the Ranking System" then there is the rule for the final ranks calculation :
In this game the rank of a player is impacted by is rank in the power graph, and the total of killed target he has. Each 10 turns, the administrator determine the final rank for each player.

To establish the final rank of a player, the administrator take as base the rank in the power graph.
Then he compare in the following chart, the player's Killer Score with each of other player.
The comparison with each other players indicate if his rank go one step up or down.

The chart indicate the rank modification condition of player A when he's compared to Player B.
If player A have a higher rank than player B, A's rank losses one point if the player B's KS minus Player A's KS is at least equal to the value indicate in the chart. This value is found at the row equal to player A rank and the column equal to player B rank.
If player A have a lower rank than player B, A's rank gains one point if the player A's KS minus Player B's KS is at least equal to the value indicate in the chart. This value is found at the row equal to player A rank and the column equal to player B rank.

To get the final rank of a player, he had to be compared successively to each other player from the highest rank to the lowest.

First calculate the final rank of the first player in the power graph ranking.

    Rank modification condition table :

Excellent thread, Zobo. Gav may be interested in the spiffy way you formatted your tables

            SkullCrushers final outcome:

The Spanish (Jesumi) toppled the Nicaraguans (Nukeboy(Rubbduck's sub))

Gav would be very interested, but his feeble ability to manipulate such things would make it look very strange I am sure...

Solver PBEM rankings will run forever I think.... we got 4 new players to add to next chart, all active in at least one rated game!
                He's back after a fashion...

Gav, I'm so much happy that the thing I actually invented is so popular, and actually going on and on.

I'd also love to play MP, but...
