The Australian Military Intelligence Secret Service (AMISS) has uncovered a plot by the Roman government to terrorise Australian citizens with biological weapons! The Roman tyrant's insidious insinuations of impending disaster for Australia resulted in Operation Revelation, which eventually uncovered the sinister plot. Actual details of when and where were sketchy, so a pre-emptive strike was deemed the only safe solution.

Despite our best efforts to pave the way for our nuclear missiles, some were destroyed in flight, although the vast majority found their targets. There were many other conventional battles, with overwhelming Australian victories indespersed with rare Roman victories. The great Roman capital, Rome, is now under control of victorious Australian troops, and contains fantastic wonders of the ancient and modern worlds.

The search is now on to find any secret caches of biological weapons, although there is no telling how much was detroyed in the nuclear attacks.

Finally, let the great Australian leader, Don Bradman II, assure his allies that they are indeed safe, and they should feel free to expand into the former Roman territories to overcome their problems of overcrowding. Also, they should feel free to capture any Roman cities they see fit.

More pollution now, for less later Never mind, Paul. Lung's violent ways will surely be nullified in Civ3 if what i've read so far is anything to go by

      Turn to Lung.

This night many roman lifes were lost due to a covertly nuclear attack by the australians.

The roman couterattack started this morning at 05:30 hours.

Most of the australian attackfleet was destroyed in 4 violent attacks by the roman airforces. The use of tactical nukes took most of the australian ground attackforces with them.

Several roman cities were liberated - though only ruins are left in many cities.

In order to let the rest of the world benifit from this war, I have ordered all knowledge of Rome to be downloaded into the computersystems of Germany and Holland.

The roman production has been maximized no matter how high the pollution will raise. The australians will now taste a bitter cup of tea, poisoned with nuclear fallout - made by themself.

        merde!

What a bunch of tree-hugging, hand-holding, peaceniks we have in Australia! The whingers are all sad because i dropped a few dozen nukes on the Romans Like, as if anyone cares for the Romans

Perhaps i misread the cryptic bird messages after all! I expected the unhappiness to come from some dastardly BirdBrain act, but alas it was to come from my own actions As a result, most military production was immediately halted to build temples and theatres and other crap to appease the traitors They should be glad that i'm saving them from the Roman threat! Furthermore, small cities, both Roman and Australian, were disbanded if sufficient levels of happiness could not be reached. God knows where i'm going to repatriate them all to, either.

As the use of nuclear missiles has proven detrimental, only one was used this turn The great Roman city of Rome was completely destroyed, destroying an impressive number of War Walkers in the process. The great wonder of contraception was also destroyed, which shouldn't be a great loss for Rome, as, by the way Romans have been reproducing like rabbits, it seems they never used it

It looks like being a long and bloody war, with the Romans opting to unwisely fight to the death. A number of scout parties were destroyed by nuclear missiles, setting back invasion plans somewhat, but the noose has still tightened considerably in a short period of time. We shall soon see how large a stockpile of nuclear weapons the Romans have left. Soon the Roman dictator will have nowhere to hide

            Turn to Lung.

Though the city of Rome is no more - the nation ROME still survives.

A roman hero had offered his own life in a suicidial attack on a owerwhelming autralian force.

A true victory for my poor nation.

Further, one australian destoyer suddenly was hit by a golden fist of iron and fire. And it was blown to hel.!

New heroes and heavy troops are educated in countless numbers - from cities and from hidden camps - the blood of poor australians will colour the soil of Rome - until radiation and water shall clean the surface of this world.

Oh, no!! I'VE DOOMED US ALL!!!

Who would have thunk it! A few (dozen) measly nukes, and the world goes from 28 turns to disaster to ZERO!!

I hope you blokes can swim

I must admit, i didn't realise just how severe the consequences of nuclear war were, because i never lasted this long I don't know what happens next, but i guess all of our coastal cities go swimming with the fishies, which pretty much destroys everything! Between all of us, i don't think that there are many land-locked cities, each of us only having a handful. It remains to be seen who comes out of this the best. I only hope that in fairness, we are all affected proportionately to the size of our empires. I don't want a repeat of DMM1.1.2, where Keygen lost all of his cities while everyone else was unaffected. I don't think you guys would let me take the game back a couple of turns to retrospectively avoid disaster like Keygen did in that game Oh well, at least it solves my problem of dedicating too much time to this game with my impending marriage

                    *switches to meglomaniac's hat*

The Roman scourge has finally been evicted from the Australian continent, while Ebacarum also joins the glorious Australian Fascist state! Many more Roman soldiers met their maker in many battles across the world, as Australian fascists continued towards their destiny of Roman domination.

In other diplomatic news, Germany continued their non-aggressive stance, consistent with their apparent isolationist policy, while the Dutch nation seems to have taken the same stance, obviously remembering their disasterous attempts at war in the past. Don Bradman II respects their respective decisions to stay out of the war, presumably in the knowledge that this war is the settling of differences older than time itself.

I have been forced to make a big sell-out of roman property.

Besides that, capitalistic sharks are swimming around, looking and tasting on the goodies from the small fightings going on.

I expect the sharks soon shall taste some more, this time flavoured with the smell of sheeps - unless the "food" will burn to ashes in a great firestorm.

Pretty tough in this post-apocalyptic world, ain't it, Tweety! I notice that pollution litters the entire planet, with satellite photos showing mass destruction as a result of pollution as much in German territory as as in Australian and Roman. To be honest, i can't figure out how pollution works in CTP, as i have massive pollution levels in cities which their city screens claim only light pollution! Do we just stop dropping nukes, or do we have to clean up the dead tiles as well? If it's the latter, even the Dutch scientists optimistic forecast of catastrophe in 3 years is not sufficient time to fix the problem.

Max, just make sure you don't sell off your recycling plants At least now we're not doomed for at least a couple of turns!

I am going away, and will not get home to play my turn tonight, but i might be back tomorrow. Max, if you haven't seen a post from me in 24 hours or so, please send my turn to Mobius.
