Actually this turn a gift from God has arrvied. A bank finally was completed in athens...we knew the bank would help but it has help alot more than we thought! Now 550 gold a turn is collectied in that city. Amazingly our renissance tech rates have changed from 17 turns per advance to 3 ..... A gift indeed.


Now we must continue to build on this so that we may repulse anything our Viking neighbor throws at us

I haven't posted these in the ratings thread, mainly because I'm not sure of the status of Dugrik & Rubbduck.

So if someone can confirm their status, I'll post it there. Otherwise, we'll just wait for Keygen to come back.

My fellow leaders,

do not believe the hysterical cries for war that echo from the Greeks. Panic has stricken them, obviously, for they start to spread lies to get you other people in their newly started crusade against us.

Let me clarify some things:

(1) The slavers searching Trondheim for slaves were not acting on our orders, but rather directly against them.

(2) While the Greeks claim that the slavers attacked the city twice, Trondheim went down to 1 population after the first slaver appeared there, so it was even IMPOSSIBLE for the slaver to find more victims.

(3) We don't even HAVE hordes of musketeers at our disposal, and we wouldn't waste them by conquering the territory of the Greeks, which are barren and lifeless, as the Greeks claim themselves.

(4) We are not looking forward for any wars, whether against the Greeks nor against the Mexicans. All the opposite - we are only looking forward to have cordial relations with the Mexican people.

Who will you believe? It's hard, I know, but take into account the fact how the Greeks behaved when discussing their current situation. They complained and complained about their own territory, always pointing to the river valleys and lush forests of vikland.

When we offered them our help, they replied without friendship, as they did with the Mexicans. In both cases, they only complained, wanting more, and demanded gifts from both of us instead of being happy to receive the favorable deals we offered them.

Believe who you want, but don't complain later on if you should notice that the Greeks may ask for help and beg only as long as they feel weak, and that they will send even more threats and lies our way when they feel strong enough to conquer those river valleys and forests which rightfully belong to us.

(((To the players: I was away for a few days, and asked my flatmate to play the turn should it arrive. He hasn't played against live opponents yet, so immediately assumed that slavery probably happens all the times. I'm NOT trying to enslave anyone, and I don't want to see war erupting - even though my units went to war readiness after Saddam's recent threats.)))

these are clearly all Lies. I have the screenshot and will supply anyone who wants it. You can clearly notice among other things, the eye and the enslavement.



I have also taken note many many turns ago, that one of 420's slavers were indeed in the great desert...and that he escaped before a knight could expel him. But I trusted the great 420 and that his word would be kept that he was going to explore darkness.

Rub, now you are lieing, as soon as I find him. Your feeble lies will be exposed . And your international reputation will be severely damaged for a LONG time!


For your own good, admit your error, and apoligize. Whilst you will find yourself isolated in this world.

I've received the turn from Saddam ( he posted in the wrong thread, btw), but I can't play it yet 'cos I've got pc problems.
Currently I'm posting from someone else's pc. I'll try to get it played ASAP, but if you guys think I'm taking too long, then Keygen can next me...

If your CPU is still broke after that, get a temp sub until fixes can be complete

OK...my pc problems have been solved after much effort (1 and a half days of troubleshooting)
